Our school successfully held the "Eloquence Challenge" activity, a dedicated platform designed for students to showcase their linguistic talents. The event encouraged students to flexibly utilize both Cantonese and Putonghua in their performances, thereby refining their bilingual oral communication and expressive skills.
 

On the day of the event, all participants took the stage with remarkable confidence and composure. Contestants competed through diverse formats, delivering highly engaging impromptu speeches in Cantonese and smooth, standard presentations in Putonghua, supplemented by recitations and tongue twisters. Their speeches were characterized by clear reasoning and rich emotional expression. Throughout the challenge, students also participated in segments involving vocabulary reading and mutual translation between Cantonese and Putonghua. They fully demonstrated solid language organization, quick wits, and rigorous logical thinking, proving the fruitful outcomes of their daily bilingual classroom learning.
 

This activity encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones and boldly take the stage to challenge themselves. Through this hands-on experience, students made noticeable progress in both their speaking confidence and oral communication techniques. The school hopes that students will continue to practice diligently, leverage their bilingual strengths in Cantonese and Putonghua, speak up with confidence on various platforms in the future, and continuously unlock their linguistic potential.
